I am currently undertaking a NERC-funded PhD in environmental physiology. My current research studies the effects of organic pollutants in wild bird populations at the University of Aberdeen, in collaboration with the Swiss Ornithological Institute (Vogelwarte).
Previous research opportunities have included the effects of food insecurity on daily weight trajectories in the European starling, Sturnus vulgaris at Newcastle University; and the effects of parent-offspring competition in the burying beetle, Nicrophorus vespilloides at the University of Edinburgh.
My passion is academic research and I hope to continue developing my skills in the application of behavioural and evolutionary ecology to understand natural or anthropogenic environmental stressors.
